Training
and Licensing for a 16 year old:
You may only ride a 50cc Motorbike or Scooter restricted
to 30mph (classified as a moped)
You will need to apply for a provisional moped license and
take Compulsory Basic Training (CBT). The CBT must be taken
by anyone wishing to ride a motorbike or scooter on the
public roads. The courses, which are carried out by an Approved
Training Body, take a day to compete.
The course covers 5 main elements:
1.Learning how to balance on your bike
2.Learning to stop in an emergency
3. Positioning yourself on the road whilst you are riding
4. U turns
5. Safety checks
Once you have competed
the training successfully, you will be issued with a certificate
of validation (DL196). L plates will be required which can
only be removed, once you have completed a theory and practical
test.
Motorbikecrazy will be happy to make all the necessary arrangements
for your CBT training and can include the cost in your package.
17
year old +/ No car license:
There are two types of license available, a provisional
