Motorcycle Clothing
Protecting your body is just as important as protecting your head and this should be remembered when selecting your motorbike clothing. All too often we see people riding around in jeans and a sweatshirt, little realising the damage that could be done if they came off their bike. And it is not just the sections covered by armour that are protected when you are wearing the correct bike clothing. The heavy duty fabrics used to manufacture jackets, gloves and trousers are incredibly strong with anti-tear properties meaning that if you slide along the floor, the clothing will stay intact and prevent your skin tearing along the tarmac! MotorbikeCrazy offer the full range of motorcycle clothing covering all budgets.
Motorcycle Jackets - Online Shop
We have
an excellent selection of motorcycle jackets in both
leather and textile material from a selection of brands
including Spada, Weise and RST. If you're
a hardcore biker and prefer to wear a leather jacket then
you will be pleased to know that many of our jackets now
have a waterproof treatment making them suitable for a light
shower (although you may want to take waterproofs with you
incase of a downpour....you know what the british weather
is like!)
Textile
motorcycle jackets have come a long way in the last few
years. The heavy duty materials used to produce them now
often exceed the abrasion resistant qualities of leather
and can be more lightweight and therefore more comfortable,
particularly in warmer weather. Protective armour can be
found in the elbow, shoulder and back in most cases offering
full upper body protection. On top of this most jackets
feature reflective strips or Scotchlite to really improve
night visibility and safety. If you really want to be seen
at night we even have completely flourescent jackets available,
in a short or touring length.
Jackets
tend to come in two styles, sports (shorter length) and
touring (longer length). The sports version are usually
popular with racers and owners of high speed sports bikes.
The touring jacket variety offers more coverage and is more
suitable for those riders who travel long distances (or
short distances in the horrendous traffic!) Prices range
from £50 for a standard jacket with minimal or no
body armour to £300+ for the top end, hi-spec leathers.

The sizing
on jackets can vary from brand to brand and also depends
on the material selected. You may also want to take into
consideration what you plan on wearing underneath your bike
jacket. If you are a man of many layers you may want to
go one size larger than usual, particularly with leather
as these jackets tend to have a snugger fit. A basic guide
to some of our brands can be found below, along with images
and specs of our most popular jackets.
Motorcycle Trousers - Online Shop
Bike jeans are often last on the agenda list when it comes to motorcycle clothing necessity. We struggle to understand this really as the knees and hips as well as the skin on your lower half is just as fragile as anywhere else on your body. The advantage of modern day gear, particularly trousers, is that they come in a variety of leg lengths, some are even adjustable to make the perfect fit, minimising the armour placement issue (trousers fit perfect...apart from the knee armour being somewhere around your ankle!). Stretch panels, ventilation and removable thermal liners add to the comfort and practicality and help prevent them sticking to your legs. Some motorbike trousers even have ankle opening zips or full length zips to aid putting on and taking off whilst wearing motorbike boots. Prices start at just over £50 which is nothing compared to the value of your legs!
Motorcycle Gloves - Online Shop
Important for a number of reasons, the motorbike glove is an essential item for any rider. Firstly, they offer invaluable protection to the delicate sections of your fingers from light padding for small cc riders, right through to carbon knuckles, scaphoid protection and interjoined fourth and fifth fingers to prevent breakage.
Secondly, they protect against the elements. Numb fingers are a no no when riding a motorcycle as they are neccessary for the control of the bike. Thermal linings and waterproof outers ensure that your hands remain warm and in perfect working order. They can also work the same in reverse, with lightweight ventilated gloves keeping you cool and comfortable in the summer months.
Motorcycle Boots - Online Shop
Offering ankle, heel and shin protection as well as helping grip whilst riding. A motorbike boot needs to be tough, stong, supportive but flexible to ensure that changing gear is a fluid and easy operation. There are different styles of motorcycle footwear available to suit a variety of tastes in terms of both design and comfort. Long length, short length and ankle length depending on the level of protection and fit you prefer.
