Weise Clothing - Purchase Online
The Weise range gets better and better
every year, with new styles, top quality materials and neat
little features being introduced to make a Weise jacket
much much more than your ordinary motorcycle garment. The
textile collection such as the Weise Onyx Jacket, the Weise
Dynastar Evo Jacket with matching trousers and the
Hornet Hi-Viz gear are crafted from superior high quality
denier which is highly abrasion resistant material that
holds it's own against any leather jacket. Luxury removable
liners with a breathable and waterproof fixing ensure maximum
rider comfort whilst hidden little extras such as Weise's
own water release system (a crafty little device that takes
water away from the jacket and stops it collecting at the
base in a downpour) really do add the finishing touch.

The design and technologies used in leather
and textile Weise motorbike jackets is advancing all the time,
and you can rest assured that Weise are in the front running
with these advances. Their Leather range is sleek, stylish
and ultra cool but this isn't enough for a safety garment,
which is exactly why Weise have gone to extremes in the
design of their leathers including the Weise Hyrdra (the first fully waterproof leather jacket) and the Brookland jacket
for those who like old school simple styling. Top quality
1.4mm thick Monaco performance leather is used to ensure
maximum protection (on top of the fantastic KNOX CE approved
armours used throughout)
But it's not just the main features, it's
the little finishing touches that make all the difference,
and that's where Weise really come into their own. Soft
neoprene edging to avoid heavy duty leather scratching at
your neck and wrists, strong YKK zippers used throughout,
stretch paneling (we know how stiff leather can be) for
ease of movement whilst riding and, just in case we're lucky
with the weather, perforated panels to ensure breathability
and help keep you cool.
As with
the jackets, the Weise collection of motorcycle jeans and Weise
trousers comes in a choice of leather, textile or a combination
of both (for those of you who simply can't make up your
minds!) Many people struggle with the fitting of bike jeans,
particularly those who require a larger waist size with
a shorter leg or a smaller waist size with a longer leg.
The solution to either problem is the Titan Sport Jean.
These are available in sizes XS-4XL in leg lengths short,
regular and long with 6 inch and 360 degree attachments
zippers so they can be attached to any Weise jacket. 4XL
just that little bit too tight? Not a problem, the majority
of styles go up to a 5XL which is a 44 inch waist. Although
textiles tend to offer better protection in wet weather,
leather trousers usually now have a special treatment to
help keep you dry in a light shower, although we do recommend
having waterproofs stowed away in the (likely) event of
a downpour.

Many riders
tend to purchase a jacket but forget about the trousers
but it is just as important to protect your lower half.
We understand that it can be a hassle putting the full gear
on if you're just nipping to the shops, but we recommend
donning a pair of motorbike jeans if you plan on longer
journeys as they offer vital protection, particularly to
the hips and knees. They can be pulled over your regular
trousers (you may want to order a size larger if you plan
on wearing bulky undergarments) and give that extra warmth
we all need in the winter months.
The perfect pair of motorbike gloves should
not only protect your hands, particularly the knuckles and
fingers, but they should also keep your hands warm and dry
whilst ensuring you are still able to maintain full control
of your bike. If there is too much extra room in the fingertips
you may struggle with normally simple tasks such as putting
your lights on. A glove which is too tight means your grip
will be restricted, making twisting the throttle more difficult.
New motorcycle gloves, particularly leather
ones will give slightly after a couple of wears so if they
are only just that bit too tight you may find the next size
up is a little too large. The main choices are:
1) summer
gloves - these tend to be thinner with less protection and
perforated areas to keep hands cool in warmer weather. They
are fine for bikes under 300cc but we would recommend something
a little more sturdy for bigger engine bikes.
2) winter
gloves - usually with a little more protection and a cosy
fleece lining. The majority are also waterproof. 3) racing
gloves - designed to offer maximum hand protection with
high quality leather palms and hard molded knuckle and
finger sections.

Although
many of our female riders are actually looking for a motorcycle
jacket, be it leather or textile, in girly colours such
as pick or baby blue (it would appear every manufacturer
makes their ladies jackets in these colour!) one of the
most common complaints we get is that there is little else.
Lady bikers often want the same style of jackets offered
to men, so Weise have done exactly that. They have taken
some of the more popular leather styles and given them a
ladies fit (nipped in at the waist, more room at the hips).
But for those of you who don't want a black leather jacket,
don't worry, they still have stunning styles in pinks, blues
and whites.
However,
you don't have to go for one of the designs specifically
for ladies. Weise jackets are suitable for either sex, the
only difference is that the jackets classed as 'men's' don't
have the same cut as a jacket designed for a woman (nipped
in at waist, more hip room). In fact the majority of our
female riders tend to purchase these jackets as they have
a wider variety to choose from.

With jackets
you can pick any style, be it specifically cut with a woman's
shape in mind or not. However with trousers we strongly
recommend that you stick to a ladies cut as hip proportions
etc are totally different. Weise pride themselves on being
able to cater to all needs, so they have bike jeans ranging
from a size 8 to 22, with short, regular and long lengths.
The ladies Papillion jean is particularly popular as it
has a unique ankle to hip zipper for ease of entry, this
also enables you to put the trousers over your boots if
you prefer not to tuck them in.
Strong 500
denier nylon or 1.4mm performance leather is used throughout
and all Weise trousers have attachment zips so they can
be connected to jackets. For those of you who find leather
a little stiff whilst riding you may want to consider the
Sacia combination jean. These have a leather and Keprotech
construction so they are more flexible whilst still offering
superior protection.
Weise like
to offer matching gloves with some of their ladies jackets
/ trousers and the Gemma glove is a perfect example. Ideal
for lower cc bikes, they offer just enough protection without
becoming hardcore racing gloves. Stylish and comfortable
with a breathable and waterproof liner. If you're looking
for something a little plainer the summer waterproof glove
would be ideal in strong black leather.
As with the
jackets, the men's gloves are also suitable for ladies so
you have a fantastic selection to choose from (in fact you
have even more than the men!) including racing, summer and
winter gloves in leather or textile materials.
Weise prefer
to leave the colourful, all singing all dancing boots to
the likes of Sidi. Their range is a little more low key,
simple yet effective. The Soul boot is incredibly popular
as it offers fantastic protection, TPU reinforcements and
a waterproof breathable lining without being expensive.
It is also available in a shorter version - the Lock motorcycle
boot which is also available in ladies sizes.
What else
do they have to offer......
Keeping
dry can be a bit of a problem when your vehicle has no roof!
But Weise offer a wide range of solutions to out terrible
weather. As many of the textile jackets are fully waterproof,
you man only need waterproof trousers, whether it be a simple
pair of unlined nylons at a bargain price of only £16.99,
to something more substantial such as the Waterford trousers
which features a thermal lining, visibility strips, front
pocket and taped seams - still affordable at £34.99.
If you're
looking for all over coverage why not take a look at their
waterproof oversuits. Available lined or unlined, thermal
and as a 1 piece or 2 piece they really do keep you ultra
dry in a storm. And you don't need to wear them all the
time, the waterproof items fold up small so they can be
stowed away easily for you to pull out if your caught in
an unexpected downpour.
They also have a range of handy universal luggage including
tankbags, tail packs and throwovers at reasonable prices.
